Location: Sheffield (S35)
Pay: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

Schools in Sheffield (S35) alongside GSL Education are looking for a dedicated English Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons and inspire students to develop confidence in reading, writing, and communication. This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and confident early career teachers.

The Role

You will be responsible for teaching English across Key Stages, following the curriculum while adapting lessons to meet the needs of different learners. The English Teacher role may be day-to-day supply or longer-term, depending on availability and school requirements.

Key Responsibilities as an English Teacher

  • Teach English lessons that are clear, structured, and engaging
  • Support students’ progress in reading, writing, and spoken language
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback where required
  • Work collaboratively with department staff and senior leaders

Requirements of an English Teacher

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching English in a UK school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Reliable, professional, and adaptable approach to teaching
