Autism Support Assistant 

Location: Hornsea
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Start Date: Immediate / January 2026

GSL Education are recruiting a compassionate Autism Support Assistant to support pupils with ASC in a structured and nurturing school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils with autism
• Assist with sensory regulation and structured routines
• Encourage communication and social development
• Support learning and engagement in lessons
• Work closely with SEN and pastoral teams

Requirements

• Experience supporting pupils with autism or SEN
• Understanding of autism support strategies
• Patient, consistent and caring nature
• Ability to adapt to individual pupil needs
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
