Religious Education (RE) Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

Sheffield (S5, S9) schools and GSL Education are looking for a passionate RE Teacher to lead thought-provoking lessons that encourage students to reflect, debate, and engage with a wide range of world religions, ethics, and moral issues. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who loves facilitating meaningful discussions and helping students develop critical thinking skills.

What You’ll Be Doing as a RE Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging lessons covering world religions, ethical dilemmas, and contemporary moral issues
  • Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and self-reflection
  • Adapt lessons to support learners of varying abilities and learning styles
  • Create an inclusive, respectful, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Support assessment, track progress, and provide constructive feedback

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching RE or similar humanities subjects
  • Confident classroom management skills
  • Creative, enthusiastic, and student-centred teaching approach
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
