Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Do you have a passion for bringing the past to life and helping pupils understand the world through history?

GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic History Teacher to join schools across Sheffield (S5, S9), delivering engaging lessons that develop pupils’ analytical and critical thinking skills.

As a History Teacher, you will guide students through key historical periods, encourage enquiry and discussion, and foster a curiosity about human stories and societal change.

Prime Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across a range of historical topics.
  • Support pupils in developing analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach confidently as a History Teacher.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
