Sports Coach
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

Schools in Barnsley (S70, S71) alongside GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic Sports Coach to deliver engaging, practical sessions that help students build skills, confidence, and a love of sport. This Sports Coach role is perfect for someone who thrives in an active environment and enjoys supporting students’ personal and physical development.
Your Sports Coach Role:
- Lead high-quality sports sessions across a variety of disciplines
- Develop teamwork, resilience, and healthy competition
- Encourage participation and skill progression in all students
- Support extracurricular sports clubs and school teams
- Ensure safe practice and adherence to health and safety guidelines
- Motivate students and foster a positive, inclusive sporting environment
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience in coaching or physical education (preferred)
- Energetic, confident, and approachable personality
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Ability to manage groups and maintain a safe environment
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
