Job Title: Teacher of History
Location: Doncaster
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time / Part-time available

GSL Education are currently recruiting a History Teacher to work across secondary schools in Doncaster. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers or confident subject specialists who enjoy making history engaging and supporting student progress.

About the Role:
As a History Teacher, you’ll deliver lessons that bring the past to life, help students develop critical thinking, and support them in achieving strong outcomes. You’ll foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver History lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Assess, track, and support student progress

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively

  • Support pupils with targeted interventions and exam preparation

  • Work collaboratively with department staff

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher or strong subject specialist in History (QTS preferred)

  • Experience teaching History at secondary level

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Confident, organised, and adaptable approach

  • An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply)
