Autism Support Assistant

Location: Burniston
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Autism Support Assistant to support pupils with ASC in a school near Burniston.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support for pupils with autism

  • Assist with structured routines and visual supports

  • Encourage communication and social interaction

  • Support emotional regulation and sensory needs

  • Work closely with SEN staff and external professionals

Requirements

  • Experience supporting pupils with autism

  • Knowledge of ASC strategies and inclusive practice

  • Patient and consistent approach

  • Ability to build trusting relationships

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
