Autism Support Assistant
Location: Burniston
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Autism Support Assistant to support pupils with ASC in a school near Burniston.
Responsibilities

Provide tailored support for pupils with autism

Assist with structured routines and visual supports

Encourage communication and social interaction
-
Support emotional regulation and sensory needs

Work closely with SEN staff and external professionals
Requirements
-
Experience supporting pupils with autism

Knowledge of ASC strategies and inclusive practice

Patient and consistent approach
-
Ability to build trusting relationships

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
