Behaviour Teaching Assistant
Location: Burniston
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026
GSL Education are seeking a resilient Behaviour Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support in a school setting near Burniston.
Responsibilities

Support pupils with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs

Implement behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques
-
Promote positive relationships and engagement
-
Assist with classroom routines and interventions
-
Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams
Requirements
-
Experience working with behaviour or SEMH needs
-
Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
-
Patient, firm and empathetic approach
-
Ability to remain calm under pressure

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
