As a Behaviour Specialist, you will be working with pupils who have been removed from mainstream classrooms due to ongoing behavioural needs. Experience in pastoral support, inclusion units, behaviour mentoring, or SEN settings will be highly beneficial.

This Behaviour Specialist role will begin with start immediately, with the intention of moving into a long-term placement . Consistency and commitment are key, as the school is looking for someone who can provide stability and continuity for the students.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with complex behavioural needs

  • Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour

  • Working closely with inclusion and pastoral teams

  • Providing consistent routines and boundaries

  • Acting as a positive role model within the school

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with challenging behaviour

  • Strong behaviour management and emotional resilience

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks; including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
