Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are recruiting a skilled Art Teacher to work with schools based in Barnsley, serving learners across the wider S70–S71 catchment, delivering lessons that spark artistic exploration and nurture students’ creative development.

As an Art Teacher, you will guide pupils through a variety of media and techniques, fostering confidence, imagination, and an appreciation for the visual arts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging art lessons across different media and techniques.
  • Support pupils in developing creative skills and self-expression.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach confidently as an Art Teacher.
  • Effective communication and classroom management skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
