Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to work in schools across Barnsley (S70, S71), delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ understanding of scientific concepts and practical skills.

As a Science Teacher, you will encourage enquiry, experimentation, and critical thinking, helping pupils build confidence and achieve their full potential in science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across a range of scientific topics.
  • Support pupils in developing practical and analytical skills.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach confidently as a Science Teacher.
  • Effective communication and classroom management skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
