Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you a knowledgeable and passionate History Teacher eager to bring the past to life for young learners?
GSL Education are seeking a committed History Teacher to work in supportive secondary schools across Sheffield (S2, S3), with immediate start opportunities available.
As a Teacher of History, you will plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, helping students explore key historical periods, concepts, and themes while building strong analytical and written skills.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging History lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Inspire students to develop a strong understanding of historical events and perspectives.
• Encourage critical thinking, debate, and independent learning.
• Assess, track, and report on student progress.
• Maintain positive behaviour and a focused learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to departmental planning when required.
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge in History.
• Experience teaching History in secondary schools is desirable.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
