Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you an energetic and dedicated PE Teacher with a passion for promoting physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among young people?
GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to work in supportive secondary schools across Sheffield (S2, S3), with immediate start opportunities available.
As a PE Teacher, you will deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, encouraging participation, resilience, and sportsmanship while supporting students’ physical and mental wellbeing.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stages in line with the curriculum.
• Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and positive behaviour through sport and activity.
• Deliver a range of activities and sports suited to different abilities and interests.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe learning environment, following health and safety guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support extracurricular sports activities and events.
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education.
• Experience teaching PE in secondary schools is desirable.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
