Science Teacher

Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £185 – £265 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long Term

GSL Education London Branch are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Science Teacher to join a coeducational comprehensive secondary school and sixth form in Tower Hamlets. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed Science Teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality science education across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

The successful Science Teacher will be joining a supportive and forward-thinking school with excellent facilities and a strong focus on student achievement. If you are a motivated Science Teacher looking for a long-term role in a vibrant London borough, this opportunity is ideal for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons as a Science Teacher across KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5

  • Teach Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics in line with the national curriculum

  • Monitor, assess and track student progress to support positive outcomes

  • Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

  • Work collaboratively with other staff members and the wider science department

  • Support students’ academic and personal development as a dedicated Science Teacher

Requirements:

  • Qualified Science Teacher with QTS or equivalent

  • Proven experience working as a Science Teacher in a UK secondary school

  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence in delivering science lessons

  • Ability to motivate, engage and inspire students of all abilities

  • Good classroom management and communication skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
