SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Filey
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026
GSL Education are seeking a caring and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a secondary school in the Filey area.
About the School
The school provides inclusive education for pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, SEMH and learning difficulties. Staff work closely to deliver personalised support in a calm and structured environment.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small-group support

Assist with personalised learning plans

Support emotional regulation and engagement

Encourage independence and confidence

Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff
Requirements

Experience supporting pupils with SEND

Understanding of behaviour support strategies

Patience, empathy and resilience

Ability to build positive relationships

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
