Location: Filey
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: February 2026
GSL Education are seeking a passionate English Teacher to join a secondary school in the Filey area. This role is ideal for an educator who can inspire a love of reading, writing and communication across KS3 and KS4.

English Teacher Responsibilities

Deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons

Plan differentiated activities to meet diverse needs

Assess progress and provide constructive feedback

Support literacy development across the curriculum

Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching English at secondary level

Strong classroom management skills

Commitment to inclusive teaching practices

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
