Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the learning and development of students, helping them engage with lessons and achieve their individual goals. You will work closely with teachers and staff to ensure students receive consistent support and encouragement throughout the school day.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students as needed.
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Help maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements.
  • Support students with personal care and hygiene where necessary.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Understanding of supporting students with additional needs or SEMH is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to student development.
