Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Wakefield (WF4 area)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students’ learning, behaviour, and development. You will provide one-to-one or group support, assist with lesson delivery, and help implement tailored strategies to ensure all students can engage successfully in their education.
Responsibilities:
- Implement personalised learning and care plans to support students’ individual needs.
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and activities, ensuring students remain engaged.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to reinforce learning.
- Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to implement effective strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and report any concerns.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Understanding of SEN, learning difficulties, and evidence-based support strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students and the classroom environment.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting students’ growth and development.
