About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes during teacher absences, maintain high standards of behaviour, and support students’ learning and engagement. This role offers the opportunity to develop experience across different year groups and subjects, ensuring continuity of learning for all students.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, following lesson plans and instructions.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Support students’ learning and engagement in line with school policies.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student behaviour, participation, and progress.
- Adapt to different classroom environments and student needs.
- Assist with administrative tasks or lesson resources as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a school setting, teaching, or classroom support is desirable.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong classroom management and the ability to motivate students.
- Flexible, reliable, and adaptable to changing schedules and classes.
- A professional and compassionate approach to supporting students.
