Job Opportunity: Pastoral Manager
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

Are you a compassionate and committed Pastoral Manager looking to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives? GSL Education are seeking an experienced Pastoral Manager to join a welcoming and inclusive school setting in Dinnington (S25) with an immediate start.

As a Pastoral Manager, you will play a key role in supporting pupils' emotional well-being, behaviour, attendance, and personal development. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in pastoral care, behaviour support, safeguarding, or student welfare who are passionate about helping young people achieve success both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities of a Pastoral Manager:

  • Lead and deliver high-quality pastoral support across the school.
  • Monitor behaviour, attendance, and well-being, and implement intervention strategies where necessary.
  • Provide 1:1 mentoring and emotional support to pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leaders, SENCOs, teaching staff, and external agencies.
  • Support safeguarding procedures and always promote pupil welfare.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working as a Pastoral Manager, Pastoral Lead, Behaviour Manager, or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and pupil welfare.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A calm, empathetic, patient, and resilient approach.
  • The ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
