About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes in the absence of teachers, ensuring lessons are delivered effectively and students remain engaged. You will support learning, maintain discipline, and provide a safe and structured environment that enables students to achieve their potential.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage classes in the absence of teaching staff.
- Ensure students follow lesson plans and remain on task.
- Support students’ learning and engagement throughout the school day.
- Maintain classroom behaviour and a safe, positive learning environment.
- Record attendance, behaviour, and progress according to school procedures.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to provide feedback on lessons and student performance.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a school environment preferred.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage behaviour effectively and maintain a structured classroom.
- Flexible, reliable, and confident in supervising students across different subjects and year groups.
- A professional and approachable manner with both staff and students.
