Support Students in Sheffield as a Teaching Assistant – Make a Real Difference Every Day
Location: Sheffield – S5, S9
Salary: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive school community in Sheffield (S5, S9). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young learners and helping them thrive academically and personally.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with class teachers to provide essential support in the classroom, assist with a variety of learning activities, and help create a positive and engaging environment for students. Your contribution will play a key role in ensuring pupils feel supported, valued, and motivated throughout their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and achieving learning objectives
- Provide one-to-one or small-group support to pupils
- Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage a safe, positive atmosphere
- Motivate and encourage students to stay focused and engaged
- Support children with additional or special educational needs when required
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a range of classroom environments
- A caring, proactive and supportive attitude
- A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection
