SEMH Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking a resilient and compassionate Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Teacher to support learners with social, emotional, and mental health needs for schools in Sheffield (S2, S3). This role is ideal for someone who understands that progress starts with relationships, consistency, and clear boundaries.
Your Focus on This SEMH Teacher Role:
- Deliver tailored lessons that meet the emotional and learning needs of SEMH students
- Create structured routines that help students feel safe and supported
- Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage engagement and self-regulation
- Work closely with support staff, families, and external professionals
- Monitor progress and adapt approaches to suit individual needs
The Qualities That Matter Most in a SEMH Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience supporting SEMH or complex needs (desirable)
- Calm, consistent, and empathetic classroom presence
- Strong behaviour management rooted in understanding and fairness
- Flexible, reflective, and solution-focused mindset
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
