Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are delighted to appoint a Science Teacher to support schools in Sheffield, particularly in S2 and S3, delivering engaging lessons and inspiring students to think critically about scientific concepts.

As a Science Teacher, you will help pupils develop enquiry skills, apply scientific knowledge, and build confidence through practical and theoretical learning, while fostering an inclusive classroom that encourages curiosity and progress.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across a range of scientific topics.
  • Encourage investigative thinking and practical learning.
  • Maintain positive behaviour and a focused learning environment.
  • Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development.

Requirements:

  • Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent accredited teaching certification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to work confidently as a Science Teacher.
  • Effective classroom management and communication skills.
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding and student welfare.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
