Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you a resilient and dedicated SEMH Teacher with a passion for supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs?

GSL Education are seeking an experienced SEMH Teacher to work in a supportive school setting in Dinnington (S25), with immediate opportunities available across flexible contract types.

This role is ideal for an SEMH Teacher who is committed to creating a positive learning environment where pupils can overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs.
• Support pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis, adapting teaching approaches as required.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with students to promote emotional regulation and engagement.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, maintaining accurate records.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals.

Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience working as an SEMH Teacher or within an SEMH/SEN setting.
• Strong understanding of behaviour management and trauma-informed practice.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent in challenging situations.
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
