SEN Teacher
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay: Up to £220 per day (based on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teacher to provide tailored learning, guidance, and support for students with a range of additional needs for schools in Wakefield (WF4). This is a role for someone passionate about helping learners achieve their full potential and develop confidence in the classroom.

Your Key Responsibilities as a SEN Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for students with SEN
  • Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies to individual needs
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents, and SEN coordinators
  • Provide a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
  • Support social, emotional, and academic development
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

What We’re Looking For in a SEN Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching SEN or working with students with additional needs
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a flexible approach to learning
  • Professional, reflective, and student-focused attitude
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
