Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay: £460 – £600 per week (based on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

Schools in Wakefield (WF4) with GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Manager to provide guidance, support, and leadership for students, helping them thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. Your Responsibilities as Pastoral Manager:
- Lead pastoral support across the school to ensure students feel safe, supported, and valued
- Monitor student wellbeing and progress, identifying and addressing concerns proactively
- Work closely with teachers, families, and external agencies to provide consistent support
- Manage behaviour systems, mentoring, and interventions to promote positive choices
- Organise programmes and workshops to enhance student resilience, confidence, and social skills
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting on pastoral initiatives
What we are searching for in a Pastoral Manager:
- Experience in a pastoral, mentoring, or student support role is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, confident, and empathetic approach
- Ability to manage challenging situations professionally
- Organised, reliable, and student-focused
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
