1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

Schools in Wakefield (WF4) alongside GSL Education are seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide personalised support for students who need extra guidance to thrive academically and socially.
This 1:1 TA role is perfect for someone who is patient, nurturing, and committed to helping children reach their full potential.
Your Responsibilities as a 1:1 TA:
- Work closely with a designated student to support learning, behaviour, and development
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
- Support students in academic tasks, social interaction, and confidence building
- Provide one-to-one attention tailored to each child’s needs
- Liaise with teachers and pastoral staff to monitor progress and adjust support as needed
- Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
- Professional and reliable attitude
- Ability to support behaviour management positively
- Commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
