Role: Behaviour Support Staff
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are looking for Behaviour Support Staff to provide guidance, support, and structure to students who need extra help managing behaviour and staying engaged in learning for schools in Wakefield (WF4).
This Behaviour Support Staff role is ideal for someone who is patient, calm, and confident in supporting students through both behavioural and emotional challenges.
Your Role as a Behaviour Support Staff:
- Support students with behavioural, social, and emotional needs
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to maintain positive classroom environments
- Implement behaviour plans and strategies consistently
- Mentor and guide students to develop self-regulation and confidence
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and leadership
- Promote positive relationships and a supportive school culture
Who We’re Looking for in a Behaviour Support Staff:
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, confident, and adaptable approach
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively
- Professional, reliable, and student-focused
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
