About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with additional needs, implementing personalised learning strategies, and assisting teachers in delivering high-quality education. This role allows you to make a meaningful contribution to the well-being and development of students in your care.
Responsibilities:
- Support students in class by implementing personalised learning plans and interventions.
- Assist with behaviour management, providing guidance and encouragement.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment that promotes engagement and confidence.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and activities.
- Support students with personal care, hygiene, and other daily routines when necessary.
- Encourage independence, resilience, and social development through structured activities.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Understanding of SEN, SEMH, or related support strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of students.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to student development.
