About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across the English curriculum, develop students’ reading, writing, and analytical skills, and support them to reach their academic goals. You will create a positive and structured learning environment that encourages participation, curiosity, and success.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to students’ abilities.
- Support students’ literacy development, including reading, writing, and comprehension.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with staff to develop resources and personalised strategies for learning.
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, student attainment, and behaviour.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
- Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3/4 is preferred.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their potential.
- Creative and adaptable approach to lesson planning and teaching.
