Cover Supervisor
Location: Rotherham (S65, S66)
Pay: £460 – £650 per week
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors (CS) to support learning when teachers are absent for schools in Rotherham (S65, S66). This CS role plays a key part in maintaining continuity in the classroom and ensuring students remain focused, engaged, and on task.

The position is well suited to individuals who enjoy working with young people, have strong communication skills, and can manage a classroom confidently.

About the CS Role:

  • Supervise classes during planned and unplanned teacher absences
  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure work is completed
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Provide support and guidance to students where appropriate
  • Maintain a calm, safe, and productive learning environment
  • Liaise with teaching staff and senior leaders as needed

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
