Role: History Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S35)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

History isn’t just about the past — it’s about understanding people, power, and progress. GSL Education are looking for a History Teacher who can spark curiosity, encourage debate, and help students connect historical events to the world they live in today.
This role is ideal for a History Teacher who enjoys storytelling, discussion-led lessons, and developing critical thinkers rather than rote learning.
The History Teacher Role:
- Deliver engaging history lessons across a range of topics and year groups
- Encourage analysis, discussion, and independent thinking
- Help students explore cause, consequence, and perspective
- Create a structured, inclusive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student progress
What We’re Looking for in a History Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching History is desirable
- Confident classroom presence and strong subject knowledge
- Ability to make complex topics accessible and engaging
- Professional, adaptable, and student-focused approach
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
