Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S65, S66)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you passionate about bringing the past to life and helping learners understand the world through key events, people, and ideas?

GSL Education are working with schools across Rotherham, serving the communities of S65 and S66, to place a knowledgeable and engaging History Teacher who can deliver inspiring lessons and spark historical curiosity.

As a History Teacher, you will support learners in developing critical thinking, analytical writing, and a deeper understanding of historical contexts. Your teaching will encourage discussion, reflection, and meaningful connections between past and present.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver well-structured lessons across a range of historical topics.
  • Encourage independent thinking and evidence-based discussion.
  • Maintain a positive and well-managed learning environment.
  • Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence working as a History Teacher.
  • Effective communication and organisational skills.
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding and student welfare.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
