Location: Sheffield (S35)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are working with schools in Sheffield (S35) to seek a Computer Science (CS) Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons while helping students build confidence in computing, coding, and digital problem-solving.

This role is ideal for a CS Teacher who enjoys turning technical concepts into practical understanding and preparing learners for further study or future careers.

Key Responsibilities of a CS Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across key stages
  • Teach core topics including programming, algorithms, data, and digital systems
  • Encourage logical thinking, creativity, and independent problem-solving
  • Support students of varying abilities in a structured learning environment
  • Maintain positive behaviour and high classroom expectations
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff

Requirements of a CS Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Computer Science or related subjects
  • Confident subject knowledge and classroom delivery
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Professional, adaptable, and student-focused approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
