SEND Teacher
Location: Hartlepool, North East
Salary: £120 – £220 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
GSL Education are currently seeking a committed and passionate SEND Teacher to work within supportive mainstream and specialist school settings across Hartlepool. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator who is driven to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to achieve positive learning outcomes.
The Role
As a SEND Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet individual SEND needs

Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties

Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

Contribute to EHCP reviews and the development of individual learning plans

Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals

Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximise engagement and achievement

The Ideal Candidate

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification

Has experience teaching pupils with SEND in mainstream and/or specialist settings

Demonstrates strong differentiation and behaviour management skills

Is patient, empathetic, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education

Has a clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
