Supporting Young People Aged 16–25 with PMLD, Complex Needs & SEMH

Do you believe learning should be hands-on, sensory and rooted in real-life experiences?
Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs in a calm, nurturing environment?

We are looking for a kind, enthusiastic and committed practitioner to support learners aged 16–25 with PMLD, complex needs and SEMH in our farm-based, outdoor learning provision.


What the Role Involves

You will work alongside a supportive team to create meaningful, alternative learning experiences that help young people feel safe, engaged and valued.

This includes:

  • Supporting learners through sensory-based and practical activities

  • Using the farm, animals and outdoor spaces as learning tools

  • Encouraging communication, independence and confidence

  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and regulation

  • Helping learners access education in ways that suit their individual needs

  • Supporting personal care and physical needs where required


Who This Role Is For

This role would suit someone who is:

  • Patient, calm and compassionate

  • Creative and adaptable in their approach to learning

  • Comfortable working outdoors in a farm environment

  • Passionate about inclusive, person-centred support

  • Keen to build strong, trusting relationships with young people

Previous experience with SEN is welcomed but not essential — training and guidance will be provided.
