Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Sheffield (S35)
Pay rate: £460 -£650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you confident leading a classroom and keeping pupils engaged during teacher absence?
GSL Education are hiring a Cover Supervisor to work across schools in Sheffield (S35), helping maintain structure, routine, and continuity throughout the school day.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will oversee lessons with pre-set work, manage behaviour positively, and keep students on task. This role is ideal for calm, organised individuals confident working across different subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes and deliver planned learning activities.
- Maintain a productive and respectful classroom environment.
- Encourage pupils to complete work to a good standard.
- Follow school policies, including safeguarding procedures.
- Provide brief feedback to teaching staff when required.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting.
- Confidence working independently as a Cover Supervisor.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A flexible and reliable approach to daily cover.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
