SEN Teacher
Location: York
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026
GSL Education are recruiting a compassionate SEN Teacher to work within a specialist or mainstream setting supporting pupils with additional needs in York.
About the School
The setting supports pupils with a range of SEND, including autism and SEMH needs. Teaching is personalised, structured and focused on both academic and emotional development.
SEN Teacher Responsibilities

Deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.

Support EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.

Promote emotional regulation and independence.

Work closely with support staff and external professionals.

Create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements

QTS with SEN experience or interest.

Understanding of SEND strategies and differentiation.

Calm, patient and reflective approach.

Strong collaboration skills.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
