Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Doncaster (DN2, DN6)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type - Day-to-day - Supply

Are you confident managing a classroom and keeping learning on track when teachers are absent?

GSL Education are recruiting a Cover Supervisor to contribute to schools based around the DN2 and DN6 localities of Doncaster, offering reliable support to keep lessons on track.

As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will oversee lessons using prepared materials, ensure pupils remain focused, and follow school routines throughout the day. This role suits someone calm, adaptable, and comfortable working across different subjects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes using pre-planned work set by teaching staff.
  • Maintain good behaviour and a purposeful classroom atmosphere.
  • Support pupils in completing tasks and staying engaged.
  • Follow school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour procedures.
  • Provide brief feedback to staff where required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people or in a school setting.
  • Confidence working independently as a Cover Supervisor in different classrooms.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Flexibility and a professional approach to daily cover work.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
