Role: RE Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking a thoughtful and engaging Religious Education Teacher to support schools across Barnsley (S70, S71). This is a great opportunity for an RE Teacher who enjoys encouraging discussion, critical thinking, and understanding of different beliefs and cultures.

What to Expect in This RE Teacher Role:

  • Deliver engaging Religious Education lessons across a range of year groups.
  • Encourage respectful discussion around beliefs, values, and ethics.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking and reflection skills.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and work collaboratively with colleagues.

Requirements for This RE Teacher Role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching RE is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage students of all abilities in thoughtful discussion.
  • Professional, reflective, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
