Role: Geography Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to support schools across Barnsley (S70, S71). This is a great opportunity for a Geography Teacher who enjoys inspiring curiosity about the world, people, and environments around us.

What to Expect in This Role:

  • Deliver engaging geography lessons across a range of year groups.
  • Teach both physical and human geography topics in an interactive way.
  • Encourage students to explore global issues, environments, and cultures.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and work collaboratively with colleagues.

Requirements for This Geography Teacher Role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching geography is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities.
  • Professional, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to teaching.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
