Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day
Contract Type: Term time only, Long-term / Day-to-day

Are you an enthusiastic English Teacher looking for an immediate opportunity in Sheffield? A welcoming secondary school in the S5 area is seeking a committed and confident English Teacher to join their team and make an impact from day one.

About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting students of varying abilities and helping them achieve strong academic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the national curriculum

  • Assess, track, and report on student progress

  • Create a positive and focused classroom environment

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils

  • Work collaboratively with the English department and wider school team

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching English at secondary level

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities

  • A professional, reliable, and adaptable approach

  • Have the right to work in the UK

  • Hold an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years

  • Have a DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education
