Role Overview:

  • Deliver planned lessons and interventions across a range of subjects.
  • Support teachers in raising attainment and engagement.
  • Work with small groups or individual students to provide tailored learning support.
  • Assist in classroom management and contribute to a positive learning environment.
  • Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet diverse student needs.
  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to teaching staff.

Requirements for Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA):

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience working in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to provide a ten-year career history with references covering the last two years, including your most recent educational role.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
