Key Responsibilities of the Head of PE:
- Lead and manage the PE department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and deliver an engaging PE curriculum that promotes physical fitness and teamwork.
- Organise extracurricular sports activities and events to enrich student experience.
- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all students.
Requirements for the Head of PE role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching PE and leading a department or team.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- A passion for promoting health, fitness, and wellbeing among young people.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
