Job Title: Design Technology (DT) Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type - Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are recruiting a Design Technology Teacher for schools located across Barnsley’s S70 and S71 areas, inspiring pupils through creative lessons in design, materials, and problem‑solving.
As a Design Technology (DT) Teacher, you will create structured, hands-on lessons, encourage creative thinking, and help students develop technical skills and confidence.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons across various Design Technology topics.
- Ensure safe and effective use of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Support students in completing projects and developing design solutions.
- Provide constructive feedback to monitor progress and encourage improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the wider curriculum.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience delivering lessons as a Design Technology Teacher.
- Strong practical and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and classroom management abilities.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
