Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day Supply

GSL Education are seeking a Cover Supervisor to work within schools across Barnsley (S70, S71), maintaining continuity in learning during staff absences and supporting pupils across a variety of subjects.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will deliver pre-prepared lessons, manage behaviour, and maintain a structured, positive classroom environment that supports student engagement throughout the day.
Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across multiple subjects.
- Maintain a calm and purposeful learning environment.
- Support pupils in completing tasks and staying on track.
- Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil engagement and progress.
Requirements:
- A degree-level qualification or relevant UK school-based experience.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Confidence in working with young people of different abilities.
