SEND Teacher
Location: Middlesbrough, North East
Salary: £120 – £220 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are seeking a committed and passionate SEND Teacher to work within supportive mainstream and specialist school settings across Middlesbrough. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher dedicated to supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities to achieve positive outcomes.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEND.

  • Support learners with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.

  • Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

  • Contribute to EHCP reviews and individual learning plans.

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals.

  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND in mainstream or specialist settings.

  • Strong differentiation and behaviour management skills.

  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.

  • A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
