SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Middlesbrough, North East
Salary: £85 – £110 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
GSL Education are seeking caring and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities in schools across Middlesbrough. This is a rewarding role for individuals passionate about inclusion and supporting pupils to reach their full potential.
The Role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.

Support children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.

Assist the class teacher with differentiated lesson delivery.

Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.

Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.

Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with children or young people with SEND.

Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable).

A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
