Role: SEMH Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Teacher to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs across schools in Sheffield (S2, S3). This is a rewarding opportunity for an SEMH Teacher who is passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

What to Expect in This Role:

  • Deliver tailored lessons and support strategies for students with SEMH needs.
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Support students in developing emotional regulation, resilience, and social skills.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement personalised support plans.
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to their wellbeing and learning outcomes.

Requirements for This SEMH Teacher Role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and empathy skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse needs.
  • Professional, patient, and proactive approach to student support.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
